Sushi Hiro is a full-service sushi restaurant tucked into a quieter stretch of South Eastern Avenue in Las Vegas. The spot carries a laid-back, approachable vibe that fits well for both casual get-togethers and more focused dining experiences, like sitting at the sushi bar for an omakase course. It’s not a flashy place, but the atmosphere leans toward relaxed and unhurried — a good pick if you want to unwind over fresh, thoughtfully prepared Japanese dishes without the usual Strip bustle.

The menu balances traditional sushi staples and thoughtful bento boxes, which seems to resonate well with locals looking for variety. Popular items include the Omakase Sashimi Courses, Hamachi Yellowtail, and Fatty Tuna, along with comforting dishes like Chicken Teriyaki Bento Boxes or Japanese-style Curry Rice. For those who appreciate attention to detail, the daily-prepared wasabi and fresh uni stand out as highlights. The sushi bar seating offers a chance to observe the chefs in action and enjoy a more intimate dining rhythm.

Visitors tend to appreciate the steady, patient service — whether dropping in solo for an omakase experience or bringing family along, including kids. The interior layout offers some private booths, which make it easier to settle in and take your time without rushing. Families and small groups often find this a comfortable spot, especially on busier weekend nights when the place fills up but still maintains an easy pace.

Its location away from the main casino hubs feels more neighborhood-oriented, attracting locals who want fresh and consistent sushi without the pretense. Sushi Hiro fits best for anyone who prefers low-key dining with quality ingredients and a straightforward approach to Japanese cuisine. Early evening and weekend dinners are prime times, especially if you want a table without a long wait or prefer a slower tempo at the sushi bar.

Went there for a low key sushi hang out. Our server was incredibly patient and great throughout the night - we stayed for a while. The sushi was very good - especially the Mexican something roll! The atmosphere was low key and vibing. I’d love to bring my brother next…

I came in on Christmas for the omakase course by myself and asked to sit at the bar (walk-in no reservations), and overall the experience was great. The food and sushi were exactly what I expected -fresh, well-prepared, and enjoyable throughout the course. The only downside was near the end of my meal. As I was finishing my course and only had dessert left, one of the servers did point out that I reached the end of my course and I had dessert left then proceeded to reached in and took my plates without asking or saying “excuse me.” It felt a bit rude in the moment, though it didn’t significantly affect my overall experience. The homemade cheesecake soufflé was good, but I would have appreciated another dessert option, such as ice cream or something chocolate-based. That’s more a matter of personal preference than a complaint. Overall, it was a solid experience and I enjoyed the omakase.

What a wonderful experience. Tonight we were greeted graciously by the hostess, with a minimal wait on a busy Saturday evening. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant, despite bringing an 8yo. You can tell that children are welcome with the table selection. My child ordered every appetizer and dessert desired, and everything was great. I am always impressed by the quality of the freshest fish every time we go to Sushi Hiro. Never skip the sashimi! I do recommend going during lunch hour for a calmer dining experience. Servers and runners were very helpful (and respectful) with food allergies with sauces. Even upon exit, the owner made sure a Japanese toy with candy was given to my daughter. I’m very happy we went out to Sushi Hiro and will be back again soon. As a local personal trainer and nutrition coach, it’s great to have staple restaurants that align with your fitness goals. I definitely recommend Sushi Hiro to my clients, and want to extend the recommendation publicly.

Exceptional Japanese cuisine and experience. Nice ambiance, wonderful service from everyone, fresh and flavorful food. Traditional hot towels when you arrive. The booths are very private and intimate. The sushi was delicious. Got the teriyaki bento box. Wow. Amazing and so much food could not even come close to finishing it all. Bento box came with: entree, soup, salad, rice, lots of fresh sushi, shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura, dumplings, (not sure what they’re called but they were like delicate shrimp hushpuppies with veggies inside, so good) and spring rolls! Overall a lovely experience. Would definitely return!

Omakase Hiro experience was absolutely phenomenal. I went to Japan this year and it was just as good if not better than many places in Japan. These guys are dialed in, the service was exceptional, the food was delicious (the halibut, truffle, caper sashimi blew my mind), the gave me so much food (biggest omakase I’ve ever had), and the price was about 200$ (with tip) and I’d put this up there with a 500$ omakase experience. I’d go again in a heartbeat. Can’t recommend this place enough.

This is one of my favorite local sushi spots, and I’ll happily drive 10 miles or more to come here, even when I’m far away. I recommend it to all my friends and anyone looking for high-quality sushi. The sushi quality, food, and flavors truly stand out. It’s easily one of the best dining experiences you can have in Las Vegas, and the quality feels like something you’d pay three times more for on the Strip. The cuisine is very authentic Japanese, prepared by skilled chefs, with a great atmosphere to match. The food is amazing, the service consistently goes above and beyond, and I’ve never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

Stopped by for a quick dinner since I dance hula in the area. Service was really good. All the workers were so nice. Food: Shrimp Tempura Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice Glass of Red Wine The Tempura was lightly battered and tasted amazing. The ahi was fresh and I enjoyed the crispy rice. I'll definitely return again.
